DIALINDEX functionality even better on ProQuest Dialog

The common reasons users run DIALINDEX® searches in Dialog generally are to identify the files with the most potential, to test a search strategy, or to search large subject categories for a specific piece of information

Click databases for highest resultsNow, just imagine starting a research project without considering the steps to complete a DIALINDEX search. No more Set Files. No more Rank Files. No more Save Temp. No more BEGIN N1:N5.

With ProQuest Dialog, you just run a query, and click Databases to see where the highest results fall. It’s just that simple.

And identifying sources with the most potential is built right into the Results page in “Narrow results for,” one of which is Database

Click the plus sign next to Database to display the top five databases by record retrieval for your search.

Take it further by clicking More options.

Narrow my resultsBrowse the list of databases, and check the boxes of the databases you wish to keep for this search.

Then click Narrow my results.

Results appear from your selected databases, and you can browse titles, preview records for free, and decide which records you wish to keep to view, email, print or download in HTML, PDF, Rich Text Format (RTF) or XML.
