The Economist database is produced by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), along with a number of other complementary databases that we'll talk about a bit later. It contains complete text with global content from more than 200 countries. It is updated weekly.

The Economist comes in all flavors. Gale Group PROMT in ProQuest Dialog offers The Economist US. On legacy Dialog you can search File 622, The Economist database. ABI/INFORM (File 15 on legacy Dialog) also contains this source. ProQuest offers The Economist in Professional ABI/INFORM Complete, as well as its standalone subfiles, including ABI/INFORM Global, Dateline and Trade and Industry.
