Foodline experts scan more than 1,000 patents per month. Approximately 4,000 separate book chapters and more than 500 book and conference titles are added each year. An important statistic is the currency of the database in that key journals are abstracted and available online within two weeks of delivery.

A journal record is shown here. The top of the record shows the title, author, journal and date of publication. Next, you see that the record contains a detailed abstract, describing trends in nutrition in Europe. Lastly, are descriptors, the controlled vocabulary, that lets you find more terms for your search or modify the search accordingly.
