Welcome. Some searchers, such as legal firms, researchers or consultants may need to track charges incurred while using ProQuest Dialog so they can bill their clients. ProQuest Administrator Module (PAM) allows you to enable project code tracking. Learn how to set up product code prompts for searchers in your organization.

There are two steps involved in setting up your ProQuest Dialog account for searchers to receive a prompt to enter a project code upon logging in. First, your company’s ProQuest Dialog administrator sets up the prompt in ProQuest Administrator Module. Then, when searchers log onto ProQuest Dialog, they will be prompted to enter or choose a project code.

Step 1: The administrator logs into ProQuest Administrator Module (PAM) at http colon, slash, slash, admin dot proquest dot com, slash login to enable the prompt for a project code.

Click on User Interface, the first item on the left panel.

Now click on Interface Settings.

Scroll down to Transactional Account Settings. If you want your searchers to enter their own project codes, check the boxes off for Enable project code tracking and Require users to enter project code. Note that you can set a maximum spending amount per session if you wish. Click Save changes and log off of ProQuest Administrator Module.

When the searchers in your company log onto ProQuest Dialog, they will see this prompt for a Project code. They can enter any alphanumeric string and spaces.

Alternatively, in ProQuest Administrator Module the administrator can set up a list of project codes that searchers will choose from upon logon to ProQuest Dialog. Check the boxes for Enable project code tracking and Enable/Show list of project codes for users. Then enter the project codes you wish your searchers to use to track charges when they search ProQuest Dialog and click Add, and then Save changes.

So, to review, there are two steps to launch and use the Project code feature. First, your ProQuest Dialog administrator enables the feature in ProQuest Administrator Module. Second, the searchers at your company will see a prompt for Project code upon logging on to ProQuest Dialog.
