Dear ProQuest Customer,
Since my
last
message, we’ve been busy executing on our product roadmap and validating our progress with our customers. Our September release of ProQuest Dialog™ focused primarily
on Alerts features. Moving forward we will continue to place priority on enhancing Alerts performance and additional precision search features, as well as building out our broad base of content. With every release, we are confident we are one step closer to
offering the most powerful precision search tool allowing you to quickly find, organize and share the right information.
Customer Advisory Board.
In September, we hosted our global Customer Advisory Board (CAB) annual meeting in Washington, D.C. The CAB meeting helps ensure our product development is meeting our customer needs. Board members met with our development team to participate in an interactive
requirements review process for the latest ProQuest Dialog release. They were enthusiastic about their direct engagement with the team and the direction of the new product. Comments included:
- “ProQuest has a serious development plan with flexible teams to deliver on it. The impressive thing about the plan is that they
have built in a method for incorporating continuous feedback from clients.”
- “The new user interface is easier to use, making it a more powerful tool.”
- “I am impressed by the efforts you put into developing the future services and your willingness to interact and listen to your clients.”
- “This is the place for end users to go beyond other sources to get more info… it has added-value search across multiple databases,
and the interface is the easiest to use.”
Customer Events.
Throughout October, we also met with customers in Europe and the U.S. to provide a preview of ProQuest Dialog and updates from our leadership team on our plans for the future. Our events were very well received by our customers, who shared in our enthusiasm
and excitement for ProQuest Dialog. Some remarks included:
- “This new pricing model is awesome. It makes ProQuest Dialog so much more attractive especially given financial constraints we are
faced with”
- The “right information” was on every search display results page
- “I am so much more comfortable” with where the new platform is going for power searchers
Migration Planning.
In preparation for Dialog migration in 2013, our customer support organization has been organized into a global team including our subject experts from both the
Knowledge Center and the training team. This unified team, called Global Customer Support, will aid customers in migration to ProQuest Dialog throughout 2013. We will draw on this global resource to continue our tradition of providing a high-quality service
to ensure a smooth migration.
