Researchers think all the information they need is available for free on the web, while unaware that web search results may be incomplete or biased by personalization. New service offerings continue to emerge while many library and information center budgets are flat. Many information professionals are looking to redefine their service offering and value proposition.

In this short presentation, Tessa gave some perspectives on the key drivers of change, where professional services excel, and some practical examples of the focus and services needed by organizations to address these challenges. She also presented the views of thought leaders on the new opportunities brought by these market forces.
