P R E S S R E L E A S E Dialog's WebCheck Launches Internet Searching Revolution London, England and Cary, NC, 6th March, 2000: The Dialog Corporation (LSE:DLG, NASDAQ: DIAL), a leading provider of Internet-based information, technology and e-commerce solutions, today officially launched its WebCheck desktop search tool. This free consumer application, easily downloadable at www.webtop.com, will forever change the way people surf the web. WebCheck creates a fast-track to the web. It eliminates the need to open browsers, use search engines, or type simplistic key word searches. WebCheck allows users to do powerful concept based searching as simply as "spell-checking". This new technology enables users to simply highlight entire sentences or paragraphs in e-mails, Word documents, or text in a web page and, with a click of the mouse, automatically connect to and receive relevant information from the web. "We are not just launching a new product, we are launching a revolution," claimed Dialog Chief Executive Dan Wagner. "WebCheck is a completely new, easier and better way of searching for information on the Internet. Because it is so simple, this technology will really open up the wealth of information on the Internet to users." WebCheck uses Dialog's core Muscat search technology to provide concept based searching. This launch follows a successful beta test and a sneak preview at London's Online Information '99 Exhibition late last year. - Ends - About Dialog Headquartered in Cary, N.C., USA, with direct operations in 30 countries, Dialog products are used by more than 20,000 corporate customers in over 100 countries.
