Thomson Scientific Invites Future Information Professionals to Apply for Annual Scholarship Philadelphia, PA USA-London UK, February 13, 2008 — Thomson Scientific, part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC) and leading provider of information solutions to the worldwide research and business communities, today announced that it is seeking applicants from North America for its 2008 Roger K. Summit Scholarship. The US$5,000 award is given annually to a promising graduate student in library and information sciences. The deadline for the 2008 North American scholarship award is April 30, 2008. The winner will be announced at the Special Libraries Association annual conference, to be held June 2008, in Seattle, WA. Applications are available at gep.dialog.com/scholarship/application. The Roger K. Summit Scholarship is awarded twice annually, one each to a graduate student enrolled in an accredited library or information sciences program in the Americas and one in Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Africa. “The information industry is quickly evolving with the advent of new technologies, making it essential for information professionals to be adaptable and strategic.
