Dialog Expands Availability of ProQuest Resources in Corporate Market

ProQuest products to be sold through Dialog channels

May 5, 2009 (Morrisville, North Carolina) — Corporate customers of Dialog, a leader in online information services for professional searchers, will now be able to purchase a variety of ProQuest products through their Dialog sales contacts. The new initiative focuses on those ProQuest products — known widely for their rich variety of authoritative, full-text resources — that are most complementary to Dialog information products.

"This is one of the most important benefits for customers of the alignment of Dialog and ProQuest," said Suzanne BeDell, Dialog general manager. "Historically, the ProQuest customer community has been mainly in the academic and public sectors, but there's a significant amount of content that information professionals in corporate settings need and will want to use. We're very excited to introduce our Dialog customer base to these exceptional resources."

In North America, Dialog will be the exclusive sales agent of ProQuest products to corporate customers. Corporations outside of North America can purchase these products through either ProQuest or Dialog, working with their established contacts. Among the ProQuest products that will have broader exposure through Dialog sales channels is Professional ProQuest Central, the world's largest aggregated full-text database. Other products include ProQuest's renowned Dissertations & Theses database, a source for emerging research comprising two million graduate works from 700 higher education programs around the world, and CSA Illustrata, a solution that uncovers unique research found in graphics and illustrations. Complementing Dialog's significant resources in health sciences is ProQuest Pharma Collection and the innovative Medical Evidence Matters, which allows users to assess therapy options by comparing outcomes in peer-reviewed literature. Further, customers managing documents throughout the research cycle will benefit from ProQuest's powerful RefWorks tools for research management, writing and collaboration.
