Dialog Announces 2011 Quantum2 InfoStars at London Online Kjøller and Arnold are honored for their contributions November 29, 2011 (Morrisville, North Carolina, and London) — Dialog, a ProQuest business supporting professional research, has named Denmark's Lars Kjøller and Kate Arnold of the U.K. as winners of its 2011 Quantum2 InfoStar Awards for the International region. The awards honor information professionals whose achievements demonstrate leadership and inspire others to act as catalysts for change. Mr. Kjøller is Principal Information Specialist at LEO Pharma, where he supports discovery, development, clinical, regulatory and commercial departments with subject-specific in-depth searches and information analysis. From his position in the Library & Information Centre at LEO Pharma, he also manages and contributes to the editing of a large portfolio of information deliverables including alerts and newsletters. He is being recognized for his intimate knowledge of the information needs of his organization, as well as his receptive and positive attitude to change management. Ms. Arnold works in Patient Information at Cancer Research UK, where she leads the organization's involvement in a number of partnership projects that will improve cancer sufferers and survivors' access to the information they need throughout their journey. She has a long record of service to her professional associations, including serving on the SLA Board of Directors from 2006 to 2009, and two separate terms as SLA Europe President. She has been instrumental in promoting SLA at other industry conferences, such as this Online Information conference, and it is for these extensive efforts in promoting the profile of the profession that she is being recognized. "Kate and Lars are doing important work in fields that have real impact on the lives of so many," said Tim Wahlberg, Senior Vice President and General Manager, ProQuest Corporate Market Solutions. "By demonstrating how effective information services can change lives, these professionals inspire us to innovate, to think bigger and work more diligently.
