Thomson Scientific, Dialog Sponsor Award for Top Information Professional in Australia and New Zealand

Thomson Scientific and Dialog are again sponsoring the Australia & New Zealand Chapter of the Special Library Association's (SLA) Information Professional of the Year Award.

Nominations should be e-mailed to Marie McKenzie, past president of the SLA Australia and New Zealand Chapter at mckenzieinfo@aapt.net.au. The deadline for nominations is May 11, 2007. (29 January 2007)

Dialog Continues to Expand Engineering Offering

The new archival backfile from Engineering Information adds more than 1.7 million records back to 1884, giving researchers the ability to find information about engineering innovations over the last 120 years. Dialog, a Thomson business, today announced that it has added the TRADEMARKSCAN(r)-Australia database to the Dialog platform, further expanding its intellectual property portfolio and providing greater coverage for the Asia-Pacific region.
