Technical Requirements

Once you sign-up for a password, all you need to access Dialog are a personal computer, a modem, communications software, and a phone line. To make the connection as easy as possible, Dialog offers DialogLink®, a powerful software tool for Windows® operating systems.

Communication Software Settings:

• TTY emulation; ASCII protocol; asynchronous transmission
• 300, 1200, 2400, or 9600 BPS transmission speed
• Full duplex
• 1 start bit, 7 data bits, even parity, one stop bit; or
• 1 start bit, 8 data bits, no parity, one stop bit
• XON/XOFF — on
• Auto line feed — off
• ABM/Answerback — off
• Block mode — off
• Auto disconnect — off
