CUT/PASTE/SEND: Help for End Users

ProQuest Dialog makes it easy to get great answers. To help your users retrieve full text in Open Access journals in ProQuest Dialog, just cut and paste the following tip and it’s ready to send to your users!

Locating full text in Open Access sources

  • Log on to ProQuest Dialog and select Basic Search in the Biomedical and Pharmaceutical category of databases.
  • Enter keywords such as hereditary and angioedema and click Search to conduct a subject search. (Tip: If you know the ISSN number of a journal, you can also enter the number for one of the Open Access journals, such as Allergy, Asthma & Clinical Immunology ISSN(1710-1492). 
  • On the results page, narrow the search to Document Type using Narrow Results by on the right side of the screen. Click the + sign next to Document Type to see a list of different types. Click More Options to see the entire list.
  • Scroll down the list and check the Include Editorial check box to include only Editorial documents in your search. Click Narrow my Results.
  • Click Detailed view to see titles that link to full text.
  • Click Link to full text to the retrieve title and the Open Access full text to retrieve the title of the editorial displays.
