CUT/PASTE/SEND: Help for End Users
The Look Up Citation tool
ProQuest Dialog makes it easy to get great answers. To help your users verify citations using the Look Up Citation tool in ProQuest Dialog, just cut and paste the following tip and it's ready to send to your users!
You are looking for a journal article entitled "Energy Use, Cost and CO2 Emissions of Electric Cars," published in the Journal of Power Sources on February 15, 2011.You also have the author's name.
- From the Advanced Search options, choose Look Up Citation.
- Enter the author name either first name followed by last name or last name followed by first name. If you know the ISSN or ISBN numbers enter them, and the volume number and publication year, if available. Check duplicate citations so you can compare and choose the most advantageous entry for your purposes. Click Search.
- You can also use the Look up publications feature. Click the link and enter the journal name in the query box. Check either contained in the title or beginning words. Check boxes to the left of the appropriate journal titles. Click Add to search.
- From the Results page, click detailed view showing titles, publication dates and databases where the citations were found. Click the Preview button or the article title to see results.
