CUT/PASTE/SEND: Help for End Users

Cut/Paste/Send screenshotUsing Date Field Codes in ProQuest Dialog
ProQuest Dialog makes it easy to get great answers. With added date fields, your users can easily identify and specify dates in records. Copy and paste the following tip, and it’s ready to send to your users!

Two new fields — First Available and Updated — on ProQuest Dialog help you keep better track of record dates. First Available is the date the document for a database is loaded to ProQuest Dialog, and Updated contains the “First available” date and also multiple update dates from the publisher. You can also use the existing field, Publication Date, to determine just that — the date the document was published.

  • Enter your search term(s).
  • Limit your search to a specific date range when documents were published from the dropdown box or by entering specific dates.
  • Click Updated date to specify a date time period for updates.
  • Review the complete record to view different dates in the indexing.
